We have expert and professional training academy models based around business focus maintenance, energy techniques, operation and maintenance of buildings, fully supported by the BSRIA and CIBSE. These allow individuals or groups to achieve accreditation for the technical requirements within the building services industry.

At CSS we have a comprehensive energy offering which includes:

• Energy surveys, audits and health checks
From a preliminary audit or health check to a more in depth survey, our range of audits involves the collection of site facility information to identify all possible energy saving measures.  Condition surveys involve the assessment of equipment to identify where energy efficient systems would be a suitable replacement.

• Energy opportunities analysis
A financial analysis can be performed for each energy opportunity based on implementation cost estimates and site-specific operating costs, with the most cost effective solutions being recommended in line with your budget.

• Sustainable design and procurement
Renewable technologies are studied with replacement equipment from the Carbon Trust Energy Technology list recommended. Fabric improvements will be recommended as required.

• Data collection and management
CSS has the capability to collect utility data directly from your supplier and track the history of your energy consumption. All bills are checked and entered onto the specific client database. They may be received in paper format, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or as half-hourly data. Utility bills can be scanned into electronic documents and can be sent to you in order to make the process fully ‘paperless’.

• Project management service
At CSS we can undertake the project management of any recommendations including feasibility studies, business case preparation, site supervision, programming of works and tender preparation for energy related projects.

• Property management and maintenance services
CSS will ensure that your assets and energy capital investments are optimised and operated in accordance with your core business activity and specific project parameters.

• Grants and third party financing
CSS can resource finance with our finance partner or identify where you may be eligible for a Government grant (Salix) or Enhanced Capital Allowance to fund energy saving projects.

• Business focussed maintenance
We can undertake asset surveys to identify risk and resilience in critical systems and services. The production of a forward maintenance register with a five to ten year plan will estimate service life and replacement costs.
