Prestige Office Refit

Major contract to re-equip offices
Our design and installation division has recently completed a major refit of two floors of a prestige office block in Croydon, South London. This £350,000 project was completed for main contractors Kilby & Gayford and involved stripping out all electrical and HVAC equipment from the fifth and sixth floors of the office block and refitting with more efficient and environmetally friendly units.
The electrical element of the contract involved the replacement of the lighting on both floors including the provision of new cabling and the utilisation of energy saving occupancy detectors to automatically turn lighting off when there is no-one in the vicinity.
The contract also called for the redundant air conditioning system to be replaced with a new VRV system. This was designed to maintain room temperatures in Summer at a maximum of 23.5 degrees Centigrade with a maximum external temerature 29 Centigrade. The VRV heat pump units were roof mounted and all ductwork installations met HVCA specification DW142. This work was carried outin accordance with BSEN 378-1and all other relevant British Standards and regualtions.
The contract also required the decommissioning, safe removal and disposal of all existing equipment and any hazardous materials particularly with resepct to the old air conditioning system.
We have also provided maintenance of the electrical and mechanical building services equipment since 2006 and this design and installation project came about as a result of our considerable experience of the building and recommendations we were able to make using this knowledge.
The two floors are now ready for occupation by new tenants.
