Refrigerant Regulations - F-Gas & R22

Image of person struggling to understand the regualtions

If you operate equipment using refrigerant gases there are two important pieces of legislation that you must consider as they may have considerable impact on your organisation. We are currently advising our many customers of the implications of these new regulations and helping them plan how to comply with these changes in a structured and cost efficient way.

It is important to note that both regulations specify that only qualified personnel should be involved in the installation, maintenance, sevicing, containment and recovery of Ozone Depleting (R22) and F-Gases. At Comserve all of our engineers meet this requirement having City & Guilds 2078 or equivalent CITB Certificates.

Please click on the links on the right hand side for more information relating to these regulations and to view a simple information leaflet in pdf format containing the most important aspects of these changes along with suggestions of how Comserve can help you face the challenges they present. You may also find the guide published by the Carbon Trust Networks Project useful as it contains considerable information regarding the regulations and planning for the future.

There are also many offical websites with information on Climate Change and Fluorinated Gases. One of the most useful sources of information is the DEFRA website. [Click here] to view that site.

Your next step
Contact us for an informal meeting and brief review of the equipment you control and its preparedness to meet the forthcoming changes in regulations. There is no obligation but we hope that we can demonstrate that we are both capable and prepared to deliver the best solution to these challenges.
