Introducing our management team:

Mike Proctor, Managing Director

Mike joined Comserve at the beginning of 2010 to strategically drive the business forward and grow the company significantly. Mike has extensive experience in the FM industry and before joining Comserve Mike was Commercial and Operations Director for Cofely, London.

Ian Wheeler, Chief Executive

Ian is a founder member of Comserve and established the company with Chris Balderson in 1984. The focus of the business initially was to design , build and maintain computer rooms and data centres. This range of services was then extended to include all commercial building services requirements. Ian then successfully managed and developed the planned maintenance sector of the Company for many years. He was Joint Managing Director until 2010 when Mike Proctor was appointed. Ian’s main focus is now to oversee the successful development of the Group and to uphold the values that make the Comserve Group the company of choice.

Chris Balderson, Chief Operating Officer

Chris is also a founder member of Comserve, having established the company with Ian in 1984. He took on the new role of Chief Operating Officer in 2010 and now concentrates on the areas of IT, Design&Build/Energy Consultancy and EQA.

Steve Bourne, Operations Director

Steve joined the Company shortly after Mike Proctor as Operations Director for the Group bringing with him both considerable experience and a firm reputation within the industry. He held the position of Operations Director for a large complex in the North and moved on to a mobilisation directorship with both Mowlems and Dudley Bower. He then joined Dalkia and later Cofathec in the position of Account Director, responsible for many various sites throughout the UK. Among his major achievements are projects and contracts with The British Library, Steps and Zurich Insurance, pan European.

Chris Eagles, Finance Director

Chris Eagles became Finance Director in 2010 after seven years as Financial Controller with Comserve. Chris previously worked for another FM company as Financial Controller and started his financial career with Boustead Commodities, moving onto the Gill & Duffus Group and then E D & F Man Cocoa where he remained for 10 years. The Board felt it vital that a financial expert joined them and Chris’s dedication to the business and expertise in the financial sector led to his appointment in 2010.

Stuart Wells, Group Development Manager

Stuart joined Comserve in 2002 and has a broad knowledge of the business having held the positions of Project Engineer, Project Consultant and Design/Build Manager. His current role involves increasing sales revenue and maximizing future opportunities for the Group in the areas of planned and preventative maintenance and new project works. Stuart is also responsible for the development of CSS - Comserve Sustainability Solutions.

Martin Terry, Divisional Projects Manager

Martin Terry joined the Comserve Group in September 2011 in the new role of Divsional Projects Manager. Martin works with Projects team to capitalise not only on existing client relationships, but also to introduce and develop new opportunities within various market places. The focus is to provide an excellent service at best value. Martin has a wealth of experience in the building services engineering sector together with FM and property management skills. Martin’s previous role was Associate Director for MDA Consulting, a position that he held for nine years.
